For the final deck I made for the On Deck event, I used the same draw and paint on paper technique. The content is loaded with many personal meanings.

I did hand-drawn and painted decks for the On Deck show in support of skateparks in Montana for a number of years.

For this deck, I drew, inked and painted onto paper, then applied to the board. It is basically how current graphics are applied to boards via transfers. The paper made it easier for me to get a ton of detail on it.
